HOW TO BRING
HEALTH & FITNESS at Home

If you have ever made a goal to get fit, then you have probably invested in some type of fitness equipment. It could have been an exercise ball or a full weight set. Whatever you bought, you may have found that it takes up more room than planned and you simply do not use it that much.

We often start a journey to fitness with good intentions but get sidetracked because life can be difficult.

However, investing in your health is incredibly important and it is never too late to start. So, if you have purchased some home gym equipment and never used it, do not despair.

You can still use it, no matter how dusty it may be! Here are three ways to bring health and fitness in your home.

The amount of space you have to dedicate to your workouts will depend on where you live and how you want to get in shape. If you live in a studio apartment, then chances are you will not set up a full weight set!

And that is okay. You can get an excellent workout in a very small space with little to no equipment.

The point is to have a designated space that is for exercise. Whether that is the space between your bed and the wall or an entire garage, choose the space with intention and pick somewhere you know you will consistently go.

This is where you will work!

Now that you have a space, set a time that you will workout at, no matter what.

Again, this will be different for each person.

You may need to get up at 5 am to get your workout done or you may need to wait until 5 pm.

It does not matter when you set your time. You just need to pick a time that is realistic for you.

If you are not naturally a morning person, you may want to get up at 5 am,

but know that is very unlikely to happen.

That is okay!

Choose the best time for you, even if it is at 10 pm.

Now that you have the space and time dedicated, you must put energy into your fitness routine. Pick a workout that you are comfortable with. You can do HIIT, yoga, Pilates, weight lifting, cardio or a mixture of all of these. Find a workout video on YouTube or download some home workouts from a virtual trainer. Find what interests you! If you hate yoga, then do not pick that for your exercise.

If you want to build muscle, then use weights or resistance bands to strength train. Pick something that you will do and then do it. You want to dedicate all of your energy into the 30-45 minutes that you are working out! The journey to getting fit is not easy.

There will be starts and stops. You will have setbacks and breakthroughs. Do not get discouraged when you seem to be running in place. (And you may be doing that literally!) Every time you workout is a victory.

You are becoming stronger, healthier and happier.

Dedicate yourself to this practice everyday and you will see results in your body and your life.
